At CBS Secondary School Kilkenny we are mid-way through Seachtain na Gaeilge 2025. Tá gach rud go hiontach.
Inné agus inniu bhí fógra an lae (the announcement of the day) on the PA system. This was delivered “as Gaeilge” by junior students.
Students are encouraged to enter the “Anagram an lae” competition daily.
The highlight yesterday was “Ceol Traidisiúnta” (traditional music) performed by two senior students for 1st year students. Ciarán and Ruairí then explained the origins and mechanics of the Bodhrán and the Uilleann Pipes. There was great engagement in this workshop from 1st Year students.
