Founded by the Christian Brothers in 1859, CBS Kilkenny is part of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust, continuing a proud tradition rooted in the values of faith, care, and community. Throughout this website, you will find more on our rich history and the vibrant life of our school today.
In summer 2025, we begin an exciting new chapter as we relocate to a state-of-the-art campus on Dunningstown Road and adopt our new name, Christian Brothers College Kilkenny. While our surroundings may change, our mission remains the same: to provide a holistic education that nurtures not only academic achievement, but also spiritual, personal, and social development.
We are proud to offer our students opportunities to lead, to grow through sport, music and the arts, and to form friendships and values that last a lifetime. Above all, we aim to foster a deep sense of belonging and community—one that connects students to each other and to the college long after they leave.
