Cross-Country Leinster Final

Congratulations to the athletics team, who had a very successful day competing in the Leinster cross-country finals, which were held in Phoenix Park, Dublin.
First up was Lucas Duggan, who acquitted himself very well, finishing well up the field in the minor race. Robert Coogan ran a typically committed race, finishing an excellent 7th in the junior race, qualifying for the All Ireland in the process.
After narrowly missing out last year, the senior ran brilliantly to finish a deserved 3rd in the team standings, a result that qualifies them for the All Ireland next month. Leading the seniors home was Billy Coogan, who took an individual bronze in a very hard fought race.
