At CBS Secondary School Kilkenny we have been organising educational tours for over 40 years, so it’s safe to say we know a thing or two about them!
Travel, curiosity, discovery and a taste for exploration are key elements of life in our school and play an integral role in creating the broad minded, outward looking, confident mindset of our students.
The Tour of Bavaria
This tour is the culmination of over 40 years’ experience organising tours and delivers an unrivalled educational adventure.
From the medieval city of Rothenburg to the Nazi Rallying grounds and Palace of Justice in Nuremberg, to the concentration camp at Dachau, to the site of the famous Beer Hall Putsch and Munich Conference, the tour of Bavaria offers access to some of the most important sites of 20th century history.
It is an extremely popular component of the TY experience in CBS Kilkenny.
The Paris Tour
Our 2nd Year tour of Paris has been extremely popular since its inception.
A considered mix of academic, cultural and recreational elements makes this an ideal first tour for younger students.
Four days visiting the French capital starts with the Fabulous Palais de Versaille followed by a lovely trip on the River Seine on the Bateaux Parisiens to see the sights from the water. Parc Asterix, the Eiffel Tower, a visit to Montmartre and a bus tour of the city are among other typical highlights. The tour finishes with a visit to Stade de France.
