We welcome Una Halpin back to CBS Kilkenny for a second visit as part of the Heritage in Schools TY Pilot Project, run in partnership with Wildways Adventures. This program, supported by the Heritage Council, provides Transition Year students with a unique opportunity to explore Ireland’s cultural, natural, and built heritage.
For three weekly sessions, students will engage in hands-on activities such as mapping, recording local plant and animal species, and studying geology to deepen their knowledge of heritage. On November 21, students will go on a walk around Kilkenny to gather evidence for their projects, which include creating quizzes and podcasts on local history. Preparation started today with interviews.
