We concluded the Heritage in Schools Pilot Project with Una Halpin, part of the Heritage Council’s initiative to bring Ireland’s cultural, natural, and built heritage into the classroom.
Local History TY students presented a wide array of research, showcasing their work in various formats. Highlights included podcasts and presentations with archive images and photographs from their history walk. These projects demonstrated the students’ creativity and deep engagement with local history, ecology and sporting heritage.
We extend our thanks to Una Halpin for her expertise and guidance throughout this enriching pilot project. It has been a valuable experience for all involved, fostering a deeper appreciation for our local heritage.
