Many thanks to Kilkenny Castle for hosting the TY Local History students at the on-loan Ros Tapestry this morning. This 15-part national treasure is over 20 years in the making and set to become Europe’s biggest tapestry. It tells the story of the Norman arrival in South-East Ireland and depicts centuries of ancient traditions, political intrigue, romance, war, invasion and invention.
