Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal – Get Involved!

This year, TY4 are leading a very special Social Justice Project in support of Team Hope’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal, and we’re inviting the entire CBC Kilkenny community to take part!

Last year, two TY classes packed and sent over 50 shoeboxes, spreading joy to children in need. This year, we’re aiming even higher and we need your help!

What to include (The 4 W’s):
Wash – Toothbrushes, soap, face cloths, hairbrushes, combs
Write – Pencils, pens, sharpeners, rubbers, notebooks, colouring books
Wear – Socks, hats, scarves, gloves, T-shirts
WOW – Toys, puzzles, games, sweets (in-date, non-chocolate), cuddly toys

How you can help:

1. Donate a full shoebox ready to send

2. Bring in items for us to pack into boxes

3. Donate empty shoeboxes (of a decent size) for filling

Please don’t include:

• Food (except sweets or lollipops)

• Liquids or anything that might leak

• Sharp or breakable items

• War-related toys (e.g. guns, soldiers)

• Books with significant text or religious/political content

• Anything used or damaged
