We were delighted to welcome back heritage expert Mr. Dave Swift to our TY Local History students for an immersive session on the Irish War of Independence.
Mr. Swift presented and discussed historical artefacts and film replica gear, providing students with a tangible connection to this crucial period in Irish history.
With over 30 years of experience in Irish historic recreation, Mr. Swift has worked as an armourer, props expert, and historical advisor for major films and TV productions. We thank him for an engaging and hands-on session, thanks to the Heritage in Schools pilot scheme.
