Congratulations to a great group of TY Gaisce students who as part of their commitment to advocacy, participated in a sit-out on April 9th 2025 at the end of their 23 km Gaisce Adventure Journey and a respectful prayer service lead by Br John.
Taking place at the Edmund Rice Heritage Centre in Waterford, this sit-out event followed a walking tour of five key sites significant to the life of Edmund Rice and his work on behalf of poor young people in Waterford. Many thanks to John Dunne for his inspirational insight into Edmund Rice the man, educationalist and spiritual founder. This event raised awareness of the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness and fostered empathy within our communities. This initiative is a powerful example of global solidarity and the Edmund Rice mission in action.
