A big thank you to Station Officer Corabh Wise, SSO James Banville, and Firefighter James O’Shea for giving our TY Local History students an exciting and informative tour of the Kilkenny Fire Station.
During the visit, students learned firsthand how firefighting equipment works, how buildings—like our new school—are built to fire safety standards, and even saw how vehicles are cut apart during emergency rescue operations. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to gain practical insights into the vital work of our local firefighters.
